I discovered this clump of tiny brown things on a lavender stalk in our garden this afternoon. At first I thought they were eggs, until I saw some movement. Half an hour later and here’s the result of some macro investigation: some baby beetles (or grubs?) just hatched. If anyone can ID them, please add a comment.
First, here’s what I saw on the lavender bush, although somewhat bigger here because this is zoomed and cropped:
And here’s what’s actually going on on that stalk:
I have similar image not as close as yours and trying to identify what beetle this is, is it good or dad for garden??
Thank you

I still don’t have any idea about what they are or what they do, Rae. If you find out, please let me know 🙂
Looks like green stink bug nymphs – google Acrosternum. Just had some in my garden too, and wondered what they were. Mine however, have tawny heads and black bodies, that darken to all black as they dry out.
